Flood Recovery Fund:
As this 500+ year flood was unexpected by everyone, and a church is not covered by any FEMA disaster assistance, we are on our own to come up with the funds to remove our damaged building and build its replacement. If you would like to help us with your financial support, we would gladly accept your tax deductable donations for this project. If you would like to help, donations can be mailed to the church address (location), or made as an online gift.

What Happened:

• The Church has a half basement, all the foundation walls now have large cracks half way up, estimates to repair foundation alone >$400,000 (more than building value).
• Cedar Rapids is requiring 'city certified' contractors, preventing congregation from assisting in repairs or demolition work.

What Needs to be done:

• Payoff mortgage on destroyed building
• Pay to have building demolished including asbestos removal (~$50,000)
• Locate new non-flooding location
• Build new meeting hall
• Add Sunday school classrooms
